The best of Hoyt is easily seen in their latest offering, the Hoyt Ventum Pro 30 compound bow. The bow was built to be smooth, have plenty of speed, and really pack a punch. It was designed to be functional, with ample opportunities for the shooter to set it up just like they want it.

Take a closer look at the all-new Hoyt Ventum Pro 30 in the review below.

Picatinny Sight Mount

Hoyt introduced their really slick Picatinny Rail Mounting System in 2021. It was designed to bring everything in line and reduce the side load and weight of your bow. Now for 2022, the Hoyt team redesigned the sight mount rail to be machined right  into the riser itself.

Why does this matter?

The Picatinny Sight Mount is all about better balance, less weight, and far greater stability. This design is no longer an add-on, or attachment. It’s built right in to the riser on this bow for 2022.

HBX Pro Cam

The bow gets a nice upgrade in the cam system this year with the introduction of the HBX Pro Cam. It’s a beefed up version of the popular HBX predecessor. It’s built with an improved vibration profile and is now smoother than ever, weighs less, is easier to tune, and creates a better center shot and enhanced sight picture.

You’ll notice the smooth and steady difference in this bow the moment you draw it back. This new cam system is the real deal. It was a great move for the Hoyt team as they continue to build a better lineup of smooth shooting bows for the bowhunter.

Short Stop Stabilizer

One of the most noticeable differences of Hoyt’s bows in recent years is the Short Stop Stabilizer. But what’s the big deal with this new stabilizer design, and why does it work so well? With Hoyt making the move to lower the stabilizer location on the bow, Hoyt lowered the bow’s center of gravity. The result is a a steadier, more effective hold at full draw without having to add big oversized bars, or add a beefy stabilizer that adds excessive weight.

How does it work?

Despite its short size, it actually performs like a much longer stabilizer. With the attachment point farther forward, the 2-inch Short Stop Stabilizer has the same effectiveness as a 6-inch stabilizer in the standard mounting location. Better yet, the stabilizer comes standard with each Ventum Pro the company sends out.

SL Sidebar Attachment

By lowering the mounting location on the bow, Hoyt has improved the benefit and effectiveness of a sidebar mounted on the bow. The SL Sidebar Attachment is engineered to sit in-line with the riser, just like the rest of Hoyt’s accessory systems. When paired with the new SL Sidebar Mount you get less bulk, less weight, less obtrusion, more stabilization, and a more streamlined attachment system for your sidebar.

Ventum Pro 30 Performance

Some bows are obviously more shooter-friendly than others. This is one of those bows. It’s a fun shooter that’s easy to setup and a hoot to shoot. It’s a super smooth shooting bow on the draw as well as the shot. As mentioned above, vibration and recoil is slim to none on the shot, easily making this one of the top bows for the 2022 year.

The bow clocked in at 294 FPS through the chrono with my 410 grain hunting arrow, setup at 28″ draw length and 70# draw weight.
