Christmas is coming and the temps are dropping! Tyler Rector sets out to take advantage of the cold weather in Illinois, and harvests the largest buck of the year. We check in with Paul Morrison on a great hunt from the ground in Ohio. Up next is Chad Stillman, who tests his luck with a decoy up in Wisconsin. Great show this week! I have a question. Do you think with this cold weather it is worth sitting in the stand from morning to evening?

Congratulations Tyler Rector for making an impressive shot on your buck! Long range practice paid off brother! I really enjoyed the show this week, nice to hear Tyler’s comment about how he had been hunting so hard all year and kept sticking with it. It’s easy to get down when your season is not going well, but you have got to keep hunting and Tyler proves that by sticking with it and not giving up, it’s never too late to get your buck. Also, I appreciate that you keep it real on your show and that you addressed this issue at the end of the episode. If you could only say “guys” a few more time Todd, it would be perfect. Merry Christmas everyone! Bowhunt or Die!!

Nice shot Tyler ! I pulled off the same exact shot a few weeks ago at 47 yards at an 8 pt. I aimed like he was 40 and hit him right in the boileroom! Pretty impressive for me being I am a 26.5 in DL. I practiced that shot all summer long and felt comfortable. I think that is the key is be comfortable with any shot ! Congrats again!

But Tyler’s shot. If you look at the shot in slo-mo the deer dropped about 8″ before the arrow made impact. Was it a great shot or did he get really lucky?

    • I aim low for that reason. I had the sight on 55 and put it on his brisket. It’s either kill or miss clean if you do that. He lowered into it perfectly. Thanks for watching.

Stillman’s impression of Graf at the end was a real gut buster! Haven’t laughed that hard watching this show since Justin said Dan had some “really cool beaver shots” on his stealth cam last year. Love the real world show guys. Please keep em coming.

  6. about the bad shot comment, obviously the writer do not hunt much because if he did he too will back a bad shot now and then. The saying goes ” Do something good no one remembers, do something wrong no one forgets” Justin you did just fine.

I think Tyler and The rest of the team are excellent shots. Things happen in the field from shot to shot. This video is proof that practicing at long range pays off. As an archery trick shooter and travel on the circuit, Tyler’s shot was executed perfectly. It was actually beautiful to watch that lighted nock sink in his boiler room at that distance. AIM small MISS small. My FAVORITE shot of the entire season so far. Great Job to everyone this year and have a MERRY CHRISTMAS.

  9. Oh yeah, the imitation of Todd at the end had me laughing out loud. That was just funny.
P.S. I bet there isn’t a guy on here who hasn’t done his own imitation of Todd while sitting in a tree stand. 🙂
Great show guys. Love it as always.
