Episode 24: No Such Thing As Luck

Loading video...

This episode takes us up to Wisconsin with Josh Fletcher on his quest to redeem himself after a bad start to his season.  After that we head back down to Illinois as Frank Clark tries to rattle in every buck in Fulton County! We close things out with a very “special” hunt with Justin Zarr.

As always the best real world bowhunting video action is right here on Bowhunt or Die!

I’ve experienced similar problems with the episode this week. Midwest Whitetail videos load up just fine.

Sounds like Todd’s a sore looser this year..just saying. Good job this year Justin! You deserve the chance to celebrate with every one of those deer.

Josh Fletcher, keep reminding your audience that you’re on public land regardless of how much guff Tod and Justin give you. Many of “us” public land hunters can identify and appreciate the added difficulty it is to have success with the unmanaged and high pressure deer that live there.

I was trying to watch this week’s episode last night and it did the exact same thing. It would play for about a minute and buffer for a minute. It took me along time to just watch the first half and then I have up. I have been watching the show on the same device every week for a long time and unless Verizon was having problems across the country yesterday, you may want to take a look at it.

    • I also cannot get the episode 24 to play without constant stopping and buffering. Never had that before and I look forward to every weeks new episodes. Please try to resolve. Thanks. Ron from WI

Love the show and get a lot of knowledge from your teams. Do you guys have anyone in Texas? Feel like we could learn more for us way down here if you had some guys down here.

  11. You guys are too funny. Good hunt for the young one. Nice going.

Lighten up a little Todd. Sometimes it’s more about the kids and future hunters and not about the size of the deer. Experience/Food > Size/sex of deer.

Video is not playing correctly. I would imagine there would be tension at times. Could you imagine the sense of competition that’s felt at times. Everything your doing wright or wrong being on air.

I’m with Remington Nelson and Brian S. I am also having trouble loading this week’s episode. I don’t have the fastest internet service, but usually it loads up and plays acceptably. By contrast, I just loaded up a video on Midwest Whitetail with no problems at all.

I also am having problems with the buffering while watching online. I also have not been able to watch the episodes this year on Roku for some reason. This only started with this year’s episodes. We stream movies/shows every day so it’s not the Roku. I can watch other outdoor videos with the Roku but for some reason, the Bowhunt or Die episodes will not play. I get to where I can select the episode but when when I select “Play”, it flickers then goes back to the screen with the “Play” button again. It just won’t play when I select play. Oh well.

  15. Josh, we need to always remember hunting is a hobby, no matter how much we get into it. That being said, when your daughter comes asking to take her trick or treating, take her for crying out loud. We are never promised tomorrow. Deer hunting can go on hold.

Danny, you are absolutely correct about spending time with family, i couldnt agree with you more. What the video doesnt explain is that in our area the small cities have trick or treating on diffrent days, so in our house its not a one and done, we hit up trick or treating several places in a couple weeks. The other thing that isnt in the video is the quality time we spend together, this year was her first year deer hunting and she is my little hunting buddy! We had a blast this season sitting in the tree together talking, playing games and counting squirrels, this is just a hobby but its also a great way to spend quality time as a family, and she had a better season than me because not only did she get her first buck but she also scored on a boat load of candy!!! I also want to take the time to let all of you know we appreciate you taking the time from your day to watch the show!

Well I’m saying that because my uncle lives in Fairbanks and he has led moose hunts before, he is a big fan of your videos and he was actually the one who got me into you guys. I asked him already and I’ll keep you posted if you’re interested. Are you?

Awesome show!! Wish I’d found it sooner. I’ve been self filming for about two years now so I appreciate how difficult it is. I have to ask though, what’s the application process? I agree that a little southern style hunting would be a good addition. I live and hunt in Texas but I’m fortunate enough to hunt my lease in north central Missouri atleast a couple times a year. I even get to hunt my home state of Georgia some seasons. Just curious because I really love this filming thing and like the idea of sharing my hunts.

  22. Hey guys I have been noticing this season that at least visually there is tension between Justin and Todd. One episode Justin basically making fun of Todd for killing a doe and for several episodes brings it up as a negative thing to find a trophy doe. I have one on my property that is not killable. For three years I have been trying to kill her she is just too smart. Then Todd is giving Justin crap about a button buck. Who cares guys even Justin tried to hide the fact by dragging him out and in post jnterview still saying it was a she. Where is this show headed? I do not watch any tv hunting shows or even dvd hunts anymore because the focus has moved away from the everyday hunter to just big bucks. I stick to Web based shows because of the reality of the everyday hunter they are trying to show. Kinda like establishing a connection with people in the same boat. I’m not against hunting big bucks I got more than my share on the wall but the focus has gone to producing an expected outcome in the hunter media world instead showing what it’s really like. I don’t know just floating ideas. Last thought, you guys make it a point to talk about real hunting and the mistakes that happen but your seeming to criticize a mistake or an unexpected outcome instead of making it a personal experience and how a hunter could solve that problem for the future. Teach people how to grow as hunters for that next similar situation. Thanks for your time.
