2015 Bowhunting.com Cabin Fever 3-D Shoot

The Cabin Fever 3-D Archery Shoot Brought Shooters from Across the Country.

Family, friends, and Bowhunt or Die fans from across the country gathered at the Coon Creek Hunt Club today in Garden Prairie, IL for a day of shooting bows, swapping stories, and planning for fall. It’s a much anticipated annual event where the Bowhunt or Die prostaff and friends gather for good times, great food, and friendly competition on the 3-D archery course.

The event is in its 7th year and continues to grow as attendees make the annual trip to what they now consider to be a can’t-miss event in their summer plans. The weather cooperated this year bringing plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures. It was a great time to be out with friends.

How far will diehard bowhunters drive to shoot a bow? Shooters from Canada, Wyoming, Pennsylvania, and everywhere in between showed up to shoot and hang out today. This year’s event even brought out a biker from Fargo with a bow strapped to the back.

The Cabin Fever 3-D shoot puts you in real hunting scenarios with tough shots on a variety of critters. Deer, bear, elk, mountain lion, skunk, badger, wolf, carp, T-rex, and even a mosquito target showed up at this year’s shoot. The range  was a challenge, no doubt. Third pin shots seemed to be the norm. But whether shooters were retrieving arrows from foam – or from the dirt – there were plenty of smiles from everyone as they made their way through the course.

There’s always a ton of great prizes and hunting gear to be given away from our Bowhunting.com sponsors. Attendees took home gear from Mathews, NAP, Can Cooker, Carbon Express, Tinks, Dead Down Wind, Lone Wolf, Hunter Safety System, Heartland Wildlife, Stealth Cam, Wicked Tree Gear, HHA Sports, Moose Utility Division, and more.

Great gear always sweetens the pot at the end of a long day of 3-D archery.

There were a lot of surprises today as some of the youngest shooters showed the big kids how it’s done in the fun shoots. With divisions for men, women, and kids, the Cabin Fever 3-D Shoot is a guaranteed good time for the whole family!
