Day one of the 2015 Mathews Retailer Business Show is in the books. We had the opportunity to see lots of great gear and new innovations right from the start. Here’s a few of the great companies we had the chance to hang out with on day one.

Pine Ridge Archery

For 2015 Pine Ridge Archery introduces their new low-profile Nitro Vanes with a 2.2” width. The vanes feature Micro Glue pockets for a super hold. The vanes are perfect for hunting or target archery, are extremely quiet in flight, and work great on all arrow shafts…even crossbow bolts!

Pine Ridge also introduces their new Nitro Hunter stabilizer in 5.5” and 7.5” models. These stabilizers offer increased balance, vibration dampening, and a variety of really slick color options. See more at www.pineridgearchery.com.

HHA Optimizer Lite King Pin

The crew at HHA Sports have made a great sight even better for 2015. The 3rd generation of archery’s #1 selling single pin mover is packed with great features. Interchangeable wheels make changing tapes a cinch and allows for using multiple arrow and draw weights. A crystal clear magnifier and Blue Burst light allow for rapid adjustment in the darkest of blinds and for the oldest of eyes. Fully integrated 2nd and 3rd axis adjustment top it all off to make this the most accurate and deadly hunting sight on the market today. Check it out at www.hhasports.com.

Rinehart Discharge Bag for Crossbows

The crossbow industry continues to explode with each passing season and Rinehart targets expands their product line to give hunters a simple solution for de-cocking their crossbows. The new Rinehart Discharge Bag easily packs into your truck or trunk and is always at the ready at the end of your hunt. The Discharge Bag is tough and rugged for years of use, yet allows for easy bolt removal. Check it out at www.rinehart3d.com.

Carbon Express Arrows

Three new arrow shaft offerings are being launched for 2015 from the folks at Carbon Express. The Maxima BLU RZ is the perfect blend of the speed and accuracy of the Maxima Blue Streak and the broadhead hunting performance of the Maxima RED. The BLU features patented RED ZONE technology that helps in controlling arrow flex while in flight and shoots broadheads that fly like field points.

The new Whitetail arrow was designed with kinetic energy built in to perform specifically on whitetail deer. The Whitetail shafts feature carbon construction, are lightweight, and fast.

The Mathews Edition Maxima PNK RZ were designed to be the ultimate lightweight hunting arrow. Combining lightweight speed and deadly broadhead dependability, the PNK RZ shafts will no doubt do work in the deer woods this next year.

Camo FX

Hunters love face paint. Whether it’s to avoid the use of a facemask, or because it makes you feel like a battle warrior, face paint can be a game changer when encountering game in bow range. Camo FX offers one of the best face paint options on the market. It offers smooth and simple application and comes off your face at the end of the hunt easier than any other product on the market. Camo FX adds several new patterns to their 2015 line-up with their new Frost and Arctic patterns. See them at www.camofx.com.

X-Factor Xtreme Bow Hanger

I go through lots of screw-in hooks each year while treestand hunting. Some get left in trees, some bend, break, or get lost in the truck. While these simple hooks are inexpensive, they are typically very weak. The X-Factor Xtreme Bow Hanger offers a tough new option that’s bullet-proof and holds more gear than most other tree hooks. The unique feature of this hanger is that it allows you to hang your backpack, as well as your bow, from the same unit. The Xtreme Bow Hanger comes with a 2 year guarantee. Check it out at www.xfactoroutdoors.com.

Mathews Monster Wake

I took the time to take a closer look and shoot the Monster Wake bow this afternoon. I’ve never given this line of bows much of a look simply because I felt like you had to sacrifice shooter-friendly features to get the extra speed that comes with these bows. I can honestly say I was very impressed with the Monster Wake when I shot it this afternoon. Sure, it’s heavier than other bows in the product line. But it was honestly the smoothest drawing speed bow I’ve ever shot. And even more impressive, it was surprisingly dead in the hand upon the shot. I walked away from the booth wanting one of these bows.

Monster Wake Specs: 35” axle-to-axle, 5” brace height, 5.38 lbs, 85% let-off, 25-30 inch draw lengths, and draw weights in 40, 50, 60, 70, and 80 lbs. Check out the complete Mathews line at www.mathewsinc.com.
