The annual ATA Show is without a doubt the most exciting bowhunting/archery show of the year and this year is no different. With so much to see and do, it would be impossible to cover it all within the first few hours. So, throughout the day I will be updating my blogs here on Bowhunting.com in order to give our readers a closer look at all of the new, innovative products for 2013. So, in order to get out the info as fast as I can (there is a lot to cover), I will shut up and share with you a little of what has caught my eye so far…….Here we go!!!!
Hunter Safety System Elite Series Vest
Saving lives is what they do. And this year HSS is making it even easier than ever. Thanks to the new Elite Series Vest, which weighs a scant 3lbs, hunters are literally running out of excuses for not wearing a safety harness. The Elite combines all of the proven harness technology into an easy to wear, all-season vest. The new tether strap is also lighter and the vest comes in the attractive new Realtree Xtra camo pattern.
NAP KillZone Maxx, KillZone Crossbow, KillZone Low KE
Given the outrageous success of last year’s KillZone Broadhead, it only made sense for NAP to expand the broadhead line for 2013. The new models include a 125-grain model (trophy tip or cut-on-contact), 100-grain 1 ½ inch KE head for low kinetic setups, a 2-inch crossbow version, and a 2 3/8 inch, 100 grain MAXX version. No matter which head you choose, the Killzone performs like no other head on the market and will definitely get the job done.
Carbon Express Maxima Red
Two new products are coming out of Carbon Express this year. First is the Maxima Red arrow which is designed with stiffer ends in order to contain and control dynamic spine. This shifts things to the middle of the shaft, or the “Red Zone” as CX puts it. The specs on the Maxima Red are +/- 1 grain weight and +/- .0025 in spine consistency.
Carbon Express LaunchPads
The second product is the new LaunchPad precision nocks. These nocks are unlike other lighted nocks on the market that simply focus on lighting properties. The folks at Carbon Express not only wanted a lighted nock that was bright, but also one that was accurate. LaunchPads are also lighter than most nocks on the market which means they won’t screw up your F.O.C.
Tink’s Hot Shot
Taking scent dispersal to the next level, Tink’s introduces the new Hot Shot system for delivering your favorite scent. Tink’s Hot Shot emits a super-fine mist that is said to drift farther and wider than other products for the ultimate in delivery and coverage. The silent tip also sprays continuously without “spitting”. The Hot Shot comes in a variety of scents which include the legendary #69 Doe-In Rut, Trophy Buck, Doe P, Power Moose, and even Glazed Donut (bears).
Tink’s Salad Dressin
Tink’s is also introducing Salad Dressin. This product is a food/curiosity attractant that when sprayed on anything, will condition deer to revisit and eat the vegetation it is applied to.
Stealth Cam Wildview IR
The new Wildview IR cameras are going to be a huge hit. With a ZX7 processor that maximizes battery life and trigger speed, and a new smaller housing, this line of scouting cameras will make a great addition to your tool bag.
Pine Ridge Archery Kwik Sling Bow Sling
Look for the cool new Kwik Sling Bow Sling that maintaines its shape in order to allow the shooter the quickest possible access to the bow handle and the Nitro XL for increased bow speed and dampening properties.

Carbon is history! Well, almost. At least that is what the makers of the popular ScentBlocker line of clothing is saying. In its place? A proprietary polymetric resin. For 2013, ScentBlocker has replaced its effective carbon with a new technology that is said to have an adsorption rate that is up to 40% more than regular carbon and up to 200% more than zeolites. The new “Trinity technology can be found on all ScentBlocker garments.
The all new Rage Hypodermic series of two-blade broadheads will feature the company’s signature SlipCam rear-deploying blades together with a new, one piece, machined stainless steel ferrule for superior accuracy at long ranges. These broadheads will come with a 2 inch cutting diameter and the patent pending shock collar for blade retention. The Hypodermic comes in 100 grains.
Camo giant Realtree unleashes a brand new pattern for 2013. Actually, two new patterns. Realtree Xtra and Realtree Xtra Green. Xtra blends perfectly with the fall leaf change right on through winter and early spring. Xtra Green is great for early-season deer or late season turkey.
The new HEXX line of hunting arrows is about one thing….all out speed. These arrows are light weight, rugged, and offer the highest-caliber tolerances of any carbon arrow produced by Easton to date. The end result is flatter trajectories, reduced diameter penetration and off-the-charts factory precision.
Trophy Ridge React
Want a sight that sights itself? Look no further than the new Trophy Ridge React. After the 20 and 30 yard pins have been set (by the shooter), this thing will literally sight in the 40, 50, and 60 yard pins thanks to a calibration system that works off of the pre-established gap between the 20 and 30 yard pins.
Trophy Taker Ulmer Edge Broadhead
For 2013, the Ulmer Edge will be offered in a slimmer 100-grain, 1 ½ inch wide and 125-grain 2-inch wide designs that will be compatible with the Easton Deep Six Inserts and Shafts.
Game Plan Full Rut Backpack
Game Plan has some awesome new gear for 2013. For the whitetail enthusiast that likes to carry in his/her favorite pair of rattling antlers, Game Plan has designed a pack that will allow you to do that without the unwanted rattling that always seems to accompany the task. The new Full Rut backpack places the antlers in a rear-facing position thanks to the packs “Wing System”.
The Basecamp Travel System is an airtight bag with individual airtight “pods” that allow you to store your gear independently of each other. The Leech is a versatile pack system that attaches to your backpack. It has enough room to carry your clothing and all of your accessories. And when you reach your destination, take it with you and wrap it around the tree. Last is the TTS, Treestand Transport System. This system provides a quick way to attach your stand comfortably. The best part is, you can buy additional connectors and use the same transporter for all of your stands. This company has much, much more to offer. Look for further info on additional new products in the days ahead.

The new word at UA is Infrared. This new system will stoke your fire and keep you in the woods longer than ever. The new technology uses ceramic material that absorbs electromagnetic waves, which are actually a form of heat. Absorbing heat is a good thing when staying warm is the plan. This technology can be found throughout their clothing line as well as the new DropTine Boot. When combined with last year’s Scent Control System, Under Armour is changing the game for bowhunters once again.
The all new Cold Gear Infrared panels can be seen here and in the new line of DropTine boots.
These guys are cranking out some awesome products that keep you in the “electronics” game. The new Hybrid Solar Charger Restore has twin solar panels and an internal battery. Ideal for charging personal devices like iPods and smart phones. The Hybrid Solar Charger Ember is a compact storage reservoir with an integrated solar panel. It is rechargeable from your home computer or from the integrated solar panel. The 3-in1 USB Cable is compatible with a variety of handheld electronics.
