Take a closer look at the HHA Sports brand and you’ll find the stories are strong when it comes to the history and family legacy behind this ever-evolving company in the archery and bowhunting industry.

HHA was started by Harry Hamm nearly 40 years ago. Hamm had been dabbling in archery products and release aid concepts throughout the 70s, but it was the launch of his fold-down Knucklehead Stabilizer in 1984 that helped Hamm establish the HHA brand. Since that time, there have been a wide variety of products offered by HHA, from release aids and stabilizers, to cardboard targets and bow sights.

After a long, full life, Harry Hamm passed away on July 3rd, 2019. Having left the Wisconsin-based brand to his sons, Brian and Chris, HHA Sports has continued to thrive as a pioneer in the single-pin bow sight market.

The First 40: A Look Back At The History Of Hha Sports
The First 40 film series gives a look back at the history of the HHA Sports brand.

With the HHA team coming up on 40 years in the archery industry, they are excited to launch a short film series showcasing the history and nostalgia built around the HHA brand. It’s an inside look at the brand’s early days, the struggles, how they thrived, and what’s kept the team moving forward over the last 40 years.

You’ll find a new episode dropping every Tuesday on the HHA Sports YouTube channel. Part 1 and 2 are already loaded, so be sure to check them out.

You can check out Part 1 in the video below.

Despite their tremendous growth, HHA is still owned and operated by the Hamm family and is located within 1 mile of it’s original location. Both Brian and Chris are quick to point out that the company consists of more than just employees. The guys consider the HHA staff to be family.

The team continues to build some of the best single-pin sights you’ll find anywhere in the world, as well as some new and innovative options like their recent Tetra RYZ sight. See more on it in our full review HERE.

Be sure to follow along as the guys drop future episodes in the weeks ahead in this First 40 series, sharing the story of success in the American made, family owned, HHA Sports brand.
