Latitude Outdoors Recalls Climbing Sticks: Stop-Use Notice Issued On Their Carbon Synergy Sticks

By November 2, 2026
A representative named Cory Godar from Latitude Outdoors stands at the ATA 26 Trade Show holding a tightly nested, inline bundle of black Carbon Synergy climbing sticks. The person wears a black hoodie with a white cursive Latitude logo, lanyards reading Midwest Land Group and Archery, and a trade show badge that reads ATA26 Trade Show, Cory Godar, Manufacturer, Latitude Outdoors, LLC. In the background, a trade show display table features a prominent white cursive Latitude logo, while a distant black booth sign displays red text reading Victory Archery.

Latitude Outdoors has issued an immediate stop-use notice and full refund program for all Carbon Synergy Climbing Sticks following reports of steps slipping and detaching from posts in the field.

The company announced the safety action after receiving a series of warranty claims involving movement, slippage, and detachment at the step-to-post connection.

While Latitude noted that the failures represent a small percentage of total units in the field, the frequency and potential safety hazard prompted an immediate halt to all sales and field use.

In late 2025, Latitude acquired Treestyx, LLC and brought the design to market as the Carbon Synergy Climbing Stick, adding a proprietary knotless attachment method.

Although the system underwent testing and recertification before launch, real-world reports exceeded failure expectations.

Latitude is urging all bowhunters to stop using the sticks immediately.

Refund and Return Process

Latitude Outdoors is offering 100 percent refunds for all affected products regardless of where they were purchased:

Direct Website Purchases: If you bought Carbon Synergy Climbing Sticks, Carbon Synergy Illuminators, or Carbon Synergy Stealth Strip Kits directly from LatitudeOutdoors.com, visit the Latitude Returns Portal to print a prepaid return shipping label. Refunds will process as soon as the gear arrives at their facility.

Retail Purchases: If you purchased 3-packs or 4-packs through an authorized retail dealer, return the sticks directly to that retailer to receive your refund.

Authorized Dealers: Retailers must pull all Carbon Synergy Sticks and Illuminators from store shelves and inventory immediately. Latitude is sending UPS account information to coordinate dealer returns for full account credit.

With hunters logging long hours aloft during prime fall hunting dates, tree gear integrity is critical. If these sticks are on your pack, take them out of rotation immediately and initiate your refund.
