The crew at Stealth Cam continues to build on their exciting line of trail cameras designed for hunters. Their Fusion X camera has been a favorite among Stealth Cam users, but for 2023 the team made a great camera even better with the addition of some pro features to make the camera better than ever. Meet the all new Fusion X-Pro cellular camera.

We’ll take a closer look at what’s new in upgrades for this camera, why it’s such a big hit for hunters, and how you can get started gathering greater intel this fall with the Fusion X-Pro trail camera.

Simplicity Comes Standard

The Fusion X-Pro is the perfect combination of simplicity and sophistication in a nice and compact package. It starts right out of the box. The contents are simple. You’ll find the camera, antenna, mounting strap, decal, and instruction materials. All you’ll have to do is to screw on the antenna to the side of the camera and add 8 AA batteries (not included). The setup is really easy.

But you’ll also find simplicity throughout the design of the camera as well. It’s super simple to setup and get started collecting photos and videos on the farms you hunt. The Stealth Cam Command App makes the setup process easier than ever. From your smartphone, you can load the Stealth Cam Command app, then setup an account. You’ll add your new camera and then begin making adjustments to the camera settings that best meet your needs. One image, multiple images, burst mode, delay time for capture, when pictures will be delivered to your phone and so much more; all done from the palm of your hand with this user-friendly app.

Specs on the Fusion X-Pro

The specs on the Fusion X-Pro include crisp and clear 36 megapixel images, 720 HD videos, an 80-foot detection range for extra reach, and a super fast .4 sec trigger speed. You’ll also find an adjustable PIR sensor, as well as infrared photos and video.

The camera is built in a light, compact housing that’s easy to stuff down in your backpack or gear box. It has plenty of performance built in, all at a price of just $99.99.

Best New Features

The Fusion X-Pro is quite the upgrade from its predecessor, with a number of new features that’ll make gathering intel much easier for the hunter. Greater network coverage, real-time intel, and camera sharing options now come standard in this latest version of the Fusion camera.

Let’s take a closer look at these new features below.

Automatic Network Coverage

Say goodbye to poor cellular service and the inability to receive your photos thanks to the dual network coverage built into the Fusion X-Pro camera.

The feature monitors AT&T and Verizon signal strength and automatically selects the strongest network to provide you with consistent and uninterrupted communication to your cameras through the new Stealth Cam Command Pro app.

In the past, it was one or the other. And you were left high and dry if you weren’t connected to the right network. Now you get the best of both to ensure you’re always receiving the photos you’re after.

On Demand Photos and Video

Want to know what’s happening at your stand location, or food plot at any given moment? Just stick the Fusion X-Pro camera on it, and access the new On Demand feature that’ll provide a look at what’s happening right now in front of your camera.

This is particularly helpful to prevent bumping deer that might be hanging out in a food plot, or underneath your stand. You simply grab an On Demand look before walking into the area. This also pulls double duty as security feature if/when you need to keep a closer eye on things around the home or farm.

Camera Sharing

There are some hunters that would scoff at the idea of sharing the images and intel captured on their trail camera. However, for those who might want to share with friends, family, or hunting club members, the new Camera Sharing feature makes the process really easy.

Again, it’s recommended that you use this feature with extreme caution, always being mindful of who you are about to share camera access with. But in the right hands, this new share feature is the perfect way to share intel with your buddies, or share individual images via text messages or emails.

Subject Recognition

This feature is where the sophistication of this camera really shines through. It’s built with advanced image recognition that automatically tags animals, humans, and vehicles for you to review. It’s the perfect way to keep your content organized and accessed fast and easy. You can also specify custom tags to organize and recall individual animals and select filter parameters to sort game patterns. It’s a smart camera feature that truly raises the bar in helping you stay organized with your content.

Data Plans

The only real negative that comes with using a cellular camera is the fact that you will have to pay a monthly or annual fee to have your photos or video wirelessly sent to your smartphone. Some hunters aren’t willing to add this fee to their monthly budget, while others see it as a small price to pay for the convenience of instant intel on the critters that make the rounds on the property you hunt.

You can expect to pay as little as $4 a month (annual plan) for a limited number of photos received, or $20 a month for an unlimited amount of photos and video previews. You can save yourself a chunk of change by paying the annual fee as opposed to a month to month pay rate.

See a breakdown of the data rates below, as well as the amount of content each package provides.

Final Thoughts on the Fusion X-Pro

In my opinion, the best features and functions of this camera come down to its simplicity, quality, and affordability. The camera is incredibly simple in design and hunter-friendly use. The quality in the camera is dramatically improved from what cameras we’ve seen in the past. It captures really nice quality photos and video. And with a price tag of just $99.99, this camera will be hard to beat in price for a cellular trail camera.
