The latest offering from Prime is easily the most unique looking bow to come along in years. The all-new Prime Form compound bow is the finished product from a team that stepped well beyond the box to create something different. A hybrid, if you will.Â
It’s what Prime calls the perfect blend of carbon and aluminum. The right materials in just the right places. It’s a look that certainly caught our eye when it was first released.Â
Read on for a look at the new Prime Form in our Prime Form Bow Review including video, photos and specs on this uniquely designed bow for 2025.Â

Advanced Structures Technology (AST)
As mentioned above, the Form bow is the most unique looking bow to come along in many years.
What’s behind this unique look? It’s all about AST. AST stands for Advanced Structures Technology. It’s a design that focuses on bringing together the right materials to the exact places, pushing Prime’s engineering team way outside the box. It’s a blend of carbon and aluminum like nothing we’ve seen before.
The Prime team says the end result is a lighter, stiffer, more precisely made bow.
The bow is built with American-made carbon rods that are the lightest, strongest, most consistent forms of carbon. By using these carbon rods, Prime was able to increase stiffness by 47.5% while decreasing overall weight by nearly half a pound. And for a bow that measures 34 inches axle to axle to weigh in at just 4.1 pounds – I’d say they nailed it.Â
CORE Cam System
Prime’s CORE Cam system has been a favorite among Prime shooters in recent years, known as the most tunable cam design these bows have ever seen. But it’s also a more accurate cam design thanks to its industry leading nock travel, performance and efficiency and smooth draw and balanced hold at full draw.
The Core Cam proves the Prime team has figured out how to build an inline design that brings the string and cable together to eliminate cam lean, without the drastic measures of parallel cams like they offered in the past.Â
However, you need to know that draw length specific mods are required on this cam. Why?
It’s a move the engineers made to deliver maximum efficiency at every draw length. And with 1/2″ draw length adjustments, the system allows you to have the exact fit you want and need.Â
Quick Tune Technology
Easier tuning bows are the rage these days among bow manufacturers and Prime is right in the middle of it with the Quick Tune design. It makes things easier for the archer, and/or the shop tech setting up a bow. Fast and easy tunability is the name of the game. Â
The Form’s Quick Tune Technology makes short work of the tuning process. The design allows the cam to be shifted left or right very precisely without extra weight or complexity in an easy, straight-forward way without needing to pull the axle. It’s a simplified tuning process, and it comes standard on the Form.Â
Center Grip Riser
Prime bows have long been known as some of the most balanced bows on the market. They sit perfectly in your hand, without a top heavy feel. They are simply dead in the hand at full draw. This comes from the Center Grip Riser design, built to improve aiming and accuracy.Â
By moving the grip to the center of the bow, more mass is shifted below the bow’s grip. This allowed the engineers to maximize stability and accuracy without having to add additional weight. It’s a move that improved the overall balance and shootability of the bow. You’ll notice it from the first shot. Prime has certainly got the balance game figured out.
Nano Grip
The grip on Prime bows is one of the most unique grip designs you’ll find anywhere. It’s built for comfort and consistency, on the range and in the woods.
It’s one of the most sophisticated grips we’ve seen over the years, not just because of the way it feels, but because of the protection and performance that’s built in.Â
The Nano grip is made with Aerogel technology for a warm-to-the-touch grip. Say goodbye to cold hands when you’re clutching your bow in the cold winter months, waiting for the perfect shot opportunity. The longer you have your hand on the grip, the warmer it gets.Â
Integrated Accessories
Accessory integration is quickly becoming the standard these days, and you’ll see it built in to the Form. It’s another reason this bow is so well balanced in the hand.Â
You’ll find an integrated arrow rest mount above the grip and a picatinny sight mount out front for your bow sight making accessory setup quick and easy.Â
On the Range
Despite a massive shift in bow design for 2025, the Form continues to build on Prime’s reputation for building some of the most balanced performance driven bows in the business. The Form is no different. It’s a smooth shooter, for sure.
I stepped out on the range to get a feel for real-world performance of the bow with my hunting setup. The test bow I shot was set up at 28″ draw and cranked down to 70lbs draw weight.Â
With my Easton Axis hunting arrow weighing in at 420 grains, I consistently got speeds of 286 FPS out of the bow through the Garmin chrono.Â
The bow has all the speed it needs, but again, it really shines when it comes to the balanced, rock solid feel in the hand. For those looking for a longer axle to axle bow, without the extra weight, this one makes a nice, slim and trim option archers will appreciate.
The Prime Form sells for $1595. Check it out at your local Prime dealer or online at www.g5prime.com
