New Backpacks for 2024

There’s been a lot of new backpack options hit the mark in recent years and the new designs and innovation continue for 2024. Backpacks of all sizes are being introduced for just about every hunting adventure out there, as well as plenty of upgrades and additions that have made great packs even better.

Mystery Ranch Metcalf Upgrades

Mystery Ranch is at the top of the food chain when it comes to rugged packs built specifically for the hunter. Their Metcalf pack is a favorite for many hunters that hike into the backcountry each season. For 2024, the Metcalf will now consist of three new pack sizes ranging from 50 to 100 liters. These packs will rest on the new ULTRA LIGHT MT frame, a piece of engineering and design that is unmatched in its category.

The Metcalf 50, 75 and 100 are rich in features with interior and exterior attachment points for customization. The series sports a roll-top closure with one side zip to allow easy access to large items. Zippered pockets on the lid are just where you need them, creating secure and simple access to smaller accessories.

The ULTRA LIGHT MT frame is a minimalistic platform focused on functionality and in the field comfort. Mystery Ranch’s lightest hunting frame to date was achieved by tapering the bottom width and streamlining the waistbelt. The new Metcalf Series will also offer new colorways that Mystery Ranch has recently introduced. The Metcalf will be available in Foliage and Subalpine, with updated options of “Buckskin”, and “Ponderosa.”

For 2024, Mystery Ranch has also added the Mossy Oak Bottomland camo pattern to their popular Treehouse Series line of backpacks for whitetail hunters. The super popular backpack line, paired with the hottest camo pattern in the country, make for a combination deer hunters are sure to love.
