Bull Elk Tag Supports Youth Archery

By Bow StaffJune 26, 2016

The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife has generously presented Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA) with a 2016 Kentucky Bull Elk Tag to be used to raise much needed funds for their ongoing efforts to positively impact the lives of young archers across the United States. All proceeds will benefit Scholastic 3-D Archery to help young archers develop skills and educate them about the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation.

untitled (Large)“The Scholastic 3D Archery program, started in 2013, is a non-profit archery organization that is changing the face of youth archery across the country. In our three-year existence, we have gone from being active in just three states to being active in more than 32 states and growing,” says Jennie Richardson, Executive Director of Scholastic 3-D Archery.

“Our program, simply put, is the “next step” from NASP, 4-H, and the Boy and Girl Scouts archery programs. Unlike other youth archery programs, we have standardized the tournament format rather than the equipment. Our program provides a natural progression from elementary school through collegiate-level archery. The S3DA program is unique in that it is not an in-school initiative. Municipalities, parks, archery ranges, archery shops, churches, and after-school clubs can host our clubs.

Win a bull elk tag and support youth archery. Does it get any better than that?

Memberships, tournament entry fees, fund-raisers (like this one) and our great sponsors fund all S3DA operations.  With that in mind, we hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to help us get the word out about this fantastic opportunity to hunt a Kentucky bull elk and maybe even consider purchasing a few tickets for yourself.”
