Bowhunting fun on the lake!

Today I made my first outing of the year on a local reservoir for some exciting bowfishing…  It was beautiful out today, we hit a high of 84 degrees and I took advantage of it!  The conditions were not ideal as the wind was gusting into the low 20's making the boat difficult to control at times and the water visibility wasn't that great.  Luckily there were a couple bays on this reservoir that we were able to get into shielded from the brisk winds and choppy lake.

While we were only out for about 3 hours, with my buddy Frank at the controls of the boat I was able to land around 20 carp.  Several were 8-10 pounds, a couple 10+ pounds and the largest was 14.5 pounds.  Not to bad for the first outing.

A photo showing the first fish of the day.

Here is a series of photos showing my largest fish of the outing.
