Hunter Safety System Vest Much Improved

The people at Hunter Safety Systems must have read my Blog. https://www.bowhunting.com/blog/post/2008/10/06/Safest-Vest-Out-There.aspx  I stopped by their booth at the ATA Show to point out a few things that I would like to see changed. Every item that I named they had already upgraded for this year. The 2009 model is much improved on the comfort side as well as making it more hunter friendly.

I really like the changes they made to the vest this year.

The new vest is 25% lighter than last years model, it has elastic sleeve holes for a snug fit during bowhunts, it now has 8 pockets: 2 flapped, 2 extra deep, 2 zippered, 2 napoleon and none with Velcro, it now has a single front buckle which can be covered with a cloth sleeve, the leg buckles now are rubber coated to dampen sound, and it now comes with binocular straps built in. It’s nice to see that some body still listens to what their customers want and make the necessary changes.

Here you can see the cloth sleeve over the buckle beneath the Binocs.

The vest is also much slimmer than the old one making it cooler to wear in the early season.  I just wish I would have waited another year to get the updated version.

New slimmer design equals cooler hunts in the heat of early season.
