What is your opinion on shooting does with fawns? Will the fawns survive without their mother?

By the time fall hunting seasons open up the fawns are no longer reliant on their mothers for nursing and can survive on their own.  Opinions seem to vary on whether you should or shouldn't shoot a doe with fawns, and those opinions are based more on emotions than facts.  Todd doesn't like shooting does with fawns, where I don't really care.  I've done it plenty of times and have seen the fawns hang around all fall and into the next season.  It's up to you.
