What is the best way that you all have found to balance hunting and family life, especially when you have kids?

The best thing I've found is to pick your battles and learn to be okay with giving up a few hunts each year.  It's hard at first, but well worth it in the end.  Hunting is great and it's our passion in life, but spending time with your family is more important.   Just remember that time with your kids is something you can never get back, and you certainly don't want to look back and wish you had done more with them. I try to spend extra time with them during the offseason to help make up for it.  And when your kids get old enough, bring them with!
