What are the most overlooked items or equipment you should have for your first Wyoming antelope hunt?
Hey Logan - it all depends on whether you plan on sitting in a blind over a water hole or hay field, or doing spot and stalk. Since it will likely be very HOT for both hunts, water is a must-have to stay hydrated. If you're doing spot and stalk hunting, you'll likely be in a t-shirt much of the day so don't forget the sunscreen! I've had a few nasty burns from long days in the August and September sun out West. A good rangefinder that's easily accessible is also a must-have for any Western hunt. Judging distance is tough, especially with little to no landmarks to use as reference points. If you plan on sitting in a blind, be ready to sit all day if you need to. So plenty of food, water, extra battery for your phone, and a good book are must-haves for me. Good luck out there!
