Hi guys, I’m a huge fan of the website and the show. Hope you guys do a DIY Wisconsin bear hunt soon. Is there a public hunting spot within 2.5 hours of Chicagoland (I live in Des Plaines), that you guys could recommend now that you both have private landowners begging you to hunt on their land?

WI bear tags are hard to come by and neither of us are applying right now, so I'm not sure if that's going to happen!  We do have a few guys on the team who are applying, so hopefully one of them gets a tag in the next couple of years.

As for public land - your best option is to check out the IL DNR website to see which spots are within the area you want to hunt, and then go scout them in the Spring.  We can't tell you any of our favorite spots or we'd have to kill you.  :)
