Do you need the bulldog collar on carbon express arrows for lumenok’s?

I've found that Lumenoks work best without the collar.  Since they use the carbon fibers to conduct electricity and complete the circuit, the nock collar can hinder that and make them unreliable.  If you absolutely want to continue using the collars you can glue them onto the arrow so they don't move, then sand the anodizing off the back of them.  That helps quite a bit.
