Do you back off poundage on limb bolts before pressing a parallel limb bow with a limb tip press or does drawing the bow create more flex on the limbs than pressing it?

I always play it safe and back the poundage off before pressing my bow.  Every manufacturer I've spoken with has always advised this, so I'm going with what they say!  The exception would be if I'm only putting a moderate amount of tension on the limbs just enough to slide my peep or so some minor work.  If I'm pressing it enough to remove the string and cables, I'll back the poundage down first.
