Carson Wentz recently posted a few photos from his latest hunting trip to Alaska. The hunt found Wentz in pursuit of black bears in some of the prettiest country on earth.

Bowhunting black bears in Alaska was a bucket list hunt for Wentz. It’s a trip he had been looking forward to for a long time.

“Got the opportunity to spot and stalk black bear in one of our new favorite places on earth – Alaska! Incredible trip and an incredible animal!” Wentz said in his post on Instagram.

Well Done, Wentz!

With Wentz having nearly a million followers on Instagram, there’s obviously a fair share of folks that aren’t exactly keen on the idea of hunting. And that’s okay. There are other, less masculine, ways to provide for your family than hunting, if it’s not your thing.

Well Done, Wentz!

Scroll through the 35,000+ comments on the bear photos and you’ll see there were a number of folks triggered by what they saw and felt compelled to voice their support, or angst, for Wentz’s success. A number of the comments prove once again that the anti-hunting community is constantly on the prowl looking for someone to devour. They have an agenda that transcends truth, conservation and common sense.

What’s the agenda? For many, it’s to take a hero to zero when they discover they’re a hunter. They were you’re biggest fan, Wentz, until you killed a bear. With just one notched bear tag, the ranting, raving and hatred began to spew.

Refuse to stand for your own country, and they’ll call you a hero. Kill a bear or talk about Jesus, and they’ll call you a zero.

Well Done, Wentz!

“Why would you kill a bear?”, they ask. It seems as if they see no difference in the wild bears of the woods and the plush teddy bear they have on their bed. Somehow in their minds, bears are off limits to hunters.

What they need to understand is, meat is meat. Bears must be managed. And man has been given dominion to maintain a healthy balance of wild things in wild places.

Bear meat is some of the finest food you’ll ever throw down on the table. To partake of this meat, death must come. It’s no different for any other animal or plant you choose to eat. Something has to die.

Despite what critics say, Carson Wentz has it figured out. He knows the good stuff of life. Congrats on a great bear, Wentz! Well done.
