Do you believe?

While some scoff at the idea of Bigfoot, others, particularly in certain parts of Oklahoma, make a pretty big deal out of Bigfoot.

In fact, one lawmaker is going so far as to make a push to bring about a Bigfoot hunting season in Oklahoma.

Check out the story in the video below…

Republican House member, Justin Humphrey, has introduced a bill that would create a Bigfoot hunting season in Oklahoma. His district includes the heavily forested Ouachita Mountains in southeast Oklahoma. The area is home to an annual Bigfoot festival near the Arkansas border.

So is Humphrey a believer in Bigfoot? Who knows? But what he does believe is that issuing a state Bigfoot hunting license and tag would certainly boost tourism in the area.

“Establishing an actual hunting season and issuing licenses for people who want to hunt Bigfoot will just draw more people to our already beautiful part of the state,” Humphrey said in a statement.

The bill Humphrey is delivering says only trapping would be allowed, so don’t worry about sharpening your arrows just yet. But, he is working on securing a $25,000 bounty, if that helps push you toward an Oklahoma roadtrip in the near future.

So what does the state wildlife agency have to say about all this talk of Bigfoot?

Micah Holmes, a spokesman for the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, says the agency uses science-driven research and doesn’t recognize Bigfoot.

I guess that just means more Bigfoot for me and you!

Comment below with your thoughts on such a hunt. What could possibly go wrong? Let us know what you think.
