Mathews Prima Finish Options

The Prima is available in all the same finish options as the Mathews V3. For solid colors, they have Black, Stone, and Ambush Green.

And for camo options they’ve got Realtree Edge, Optifade Elevated II, Optifade Subalpine, as well as the new First Lite Specter and Under Armour Forest All-Season.

Mathews Prima vs. Avail

Mathews Prima Bow Review

Even though anyone can use this bow, it’s considered a women’s bow. And this is the first women’s bow that Mathews has released since the 2017 Avail.

Beside the new colors and updated riser design, here are a few differences between the Prima and the Avail. The Prima’s brace height is a half inch shorter, making it slightly faster than the Avail. It has the updated Engage Grip that was first implemented in the 2019 Vertix.

The available draw lengths are slightly different than the Avail, which offered 22″ to 28″ draw lengths. The Prima has the new angled CenterGuard cable containment system which makes it easier to tune. And it’s also lighter by .03lbs.

Conclusion

The all-new 2021 Mathews Prima is a great new bow. It’s lightweight, compact, and comes with all the same bells and whistles as the V3.

With an MSRP of just $1,099 it provides tremendous performance in a small package.
