This season was about a lot more than filling a tag.
After the sudden passing of his Grandpa Gene, Tyler entered the 2025 season with a different perspective. Hunting took a back seat to family, spending time with his girls, helping them experience some unforgettable firsts, and carrying on the outdoor traditions that have been passed down through generations.
When Tyler finally found time to hunt for himself, one of his sits came with an added weight. A farm he’d hunted for years was about to be sold, and this could be his last chance to hunt it.
On November 16th, Tyler climbed into a familiar tree for what might be the final time. Before the evening was over, an old Illinois buck stepped within bow range.
It’s a season about family, loss, whitetails, and realizing that we’re only caretakers of the land for a little while.
