The Time is Now!

By Paul BossardetOctober 31, 2023

If you are on any sort of social media platform, then your feed has most likely been exploding with pictures of big bucks hitting the ground. To think that November is only about to begin is mind-blowing.

This past week saw cold temperatures and weather move across the Midwest, bringing some hunters ideal conditions while others had to stick it out in rainy dreary weather.

Those conditions did not stop some hunters from hitting the woods and filling tags.

The Time Is Now!

Ben Rising-

After harvesting a monster back in early October, Ben wasted no time when he got to Illinois. After hanging a tree stand Friday night, Ben waited for the weather to break just a little and it paid off.

He slipped into the stand on Sunday and was able to arrow this dandy buck who was drying out from the previous night’s rain.

The Time Is Now!

Dawn Jensen-

The temperature swing in the Midwest saw a 30-degree change and Dawn quickly jumped in a tree to chase some whitetails.

Little did she know that this amazing non-typical would be the deer to walk by her stand and present a shot. With only a few minutes left of legal shooting time, Dawn got it done with a well-placed arrow.

The Time Is Now!

Clayton Meyer-

As Clayton described it “Ecstatic”, this past week found Clayton in the woods with some pre-rut action. The timing was right and this bruiser walked by his setup and the rest is history.

To top it all off this buck is Clayton’s biggest by far, only adding to the exciting story of his 2023 hunting season.

The Time Is Now!

Billy See-

After getting consistent photos of this buck on trail camera, Billy made his move on this Iowa buck. Knowing that it was only a matter of time until this buck broke his pattern, Billy went in the last week of October to hunt.

Knowing this deer was 6.5 years old Billy did not hesitate when it came time to let an arrow fly, and sealing the deal on a great buck.

Don Higgins 2023 1

Don Higgins-

The legend Don Higgins strikes again. Having chased this buck for several years, Don finally caught up with the buck he calls “Babe”

Grossing over 180″, Higgins believes Babe lost a few inches from last year but doesn’t mind in the slightest. Still no doubt a buck of a lifetime.

The time is now, if you have vacation time, personal time, or sick time, fake the cough and hit the woods. The next month is going to be the highest probability your hunting property could have the buck of your dreams on it, but you won’t get a chance at him unless you are out there hunting!
