TenPoint Crossbows has recently released the fastest crossbow-per-inch in the new Havoc RS440. This is one of the most comfortable, compact crossbows to hit the market, and it’s packed with great features that quickly make it one of the best crossbows available.

Crossbow Specs

  • Length – 26.5″
  • Axle-to-Axle Width – 7.5″ (cocked)
  • Weight – 7.5lbs.
  • Speed – 440fps / 172 FP KE
  • Power Stroke – 13.5″
  • Draw Style – Reverse-Draw
  • Safe De-Cocking – ACUslide

Compact & Comfortable

As you can see, the Havoc RS440 is one of the most compact crossbows on the market, at only 26.5″ long, and 7.5″ wide when cocked. Even though it packs a big punch in this small package, it still feels and shoots like a bigger crossbow.

When creating this crossbow, TenPoint’s designers wanted to make something that felt good for shooters of all sizes, while also implementing their reverse-draw system to deliver unmatched speed, power, and accuracy.

The main reason that this crossbow is able to remain comfortable when shooting, lies within the reverse-draw system itself. As opposed to a regular crossbow which has the riser mounted out front. The Havoc RS440 has the riser mounted in the middle of the crossbow, keeping more of the weight in the center of the crossbow, and making it easier to hold on target.

Another great advantage of the reverse-draw system, is that it creates a longer power stroke. The power stroke measured by the distance that the arrow nock is engaged with the string. The longer that the nock remains on the string, the more power and accuracy will be generated from the shot.

In this side-by-side comparison, you can see how compact the Havoc RS440 can get, going from 12.5" wide, down to only 7.5" wide when cocked.

Micro-Trac Barrel

Something that’s really important, but doesn’t neccessarily pop out at you when looking at this crossbow, is the Micro-Trac Barrel. After a few shots with any crossbow, you won’t really notice much string wear at all. But once you put hundreds of arrows downrange, string and serving wear is extremely noticeable.

That’s why the designers at TenPoint created the Micro-Trac Barrel. It reduces string-to-rail contact by 50% thus providing great string life in excess of 1,000 shots. As you can see in the image below, they eliminated half the contact created when shooting the crossbow by putting a long indentation all the way down the rail.

ACUslide Cocking & De-Cocking System

If you’re new to TenPoint crossbows, one of the first things that you will probably notice is their ACUslide System. There’s no more manual pulling back of crossbows, and there’s no need to bring an extra arrow with a target point anymore, thanks to this system.

Much like the ACUdraw system from previous TenPoint models, this system is silent when cocking the crossbow. But unlike the ACUdraw system, you can now pause during the cranking process and de-cock the bow with ease. If there was ever a situation where you were cocking the crossbow and needed to stop, or de-cock it, you can now do it without worry of damaging the crossbow, or causing injury due to the handle flying out of your hand.

The ACUslide System allows you to pause during the cocking process, and de-cock the crossbow with ease.

What's Included in the Package?

The Havoc RS440 Crossbow comes in either Graphite Gray or Veil Alpine. Also included in the package is an EVO-X Marksman Elite Scope. Depending on the color finish you choose for the crossbow, the scope will also be either Matte Black, or the Veil Alpine pattern. The package includes six Evo-X CenterPunch16 arrows, and a 6-Arrow Tech Quiver as well.

The EVO-X Marksman Elite Scope includes customized reticles and external target turrets.

EVO-X Marksman Elite Scope

This variable speed scope was designed for crossbows that can shoot from 300 to 500 feet per second. So if for any reason, you wanted to switch to a heavier or lighter arrow setup with this crossbow, all you need to do is figure out the speed of the bow with that setup. Once you figure out how fast the crossbow is shooting, you can simply adjust the variable-speed locking ring to your speed, and the illuminated crosshairs will be perfectly set for the crossbow.

You will also notice the micro-adjustable external target turrets on this scope, allowing complete adjustability for windage and elevation. While looking through the scope, you will see the custom reticles that can illuminate in either red, or green by adjusting the dial on the side.

By adjusting a dial on the side of the scope, you can change the custom reticles from black, to illuminated red or green.

Quiver & Arrows

The Havoc RS440 comes equipped with six Evo-X CenterPunch16 premium carbon arrows and 100 grain target points. Each arrow weighs in at 400 grains and is 16 inches long. These arrows will fly at speeds of up to 440fps out of this crossbow.

The 6-Arrow Tech Quiver is probably one of the most underrated features in this crossbow package. Most crossbows come with a quiver that only holds 3, maybe 4 arrows. But now you can bring all 6 arrows with you in the field, and won’t have to worry about retrieving them after a missed shot or two.

You can now carry up to 6 arrows in the field thanks to the 6-Arrow Tech Quiver.

Overview

As you can see, the Havoc RS440 packs an incredible punch in an unbelievably small package. Accuracy, comfortability, speed, and durability are some of the most important features when choosing a crossbow, and this thing’s got it all!

The TenPoint Havoc RS440 can be purchased online at tenpointcrossbows.com or at your local TenPoint dealer. This ready-to-hunt package including the crossbow, scope, quiver, and arrows, carries an MSRP of $2,549.99 for the Graphite Gray option or $2,649.99 for the Veil Alpine camo option.
