Over the past several years, we’ve seen treestand manufacturers progress towards lighter and more compact stands and climbing sticks, with the mobile treestand hunter in mind.
In no particular order, here are some of the top treestands and climbing sticks from the 2022 ATA Show…
Out On A Limb - Hush Treestand / Sh1kar One-Stick
Hush Treestand – The HUSH lock-on tree stand is great for the mobile hunter looking for a bigger tree stand with weight savings and comfort. With a 17″ x 24″ platform, it offers plenty of standing room, even for the bigger guys. Weighing in at 8.2 pounds, the HUSH is light and packable with the ability to attach their 17″ Shikar sticks on the platform.

Sh1kar One-Stick – The Sh1kar One-Stick is available in a 12″ or 14″ step to step length. It comes with a top hat button that allows for an abundance of attachment methods as well as their new aider steps that make it easier to add an aider.

Novix - Helo
The Helo treestand comes in at just 9.4lbs total and it’s a great option for the Run-N-Gun deer hunter as it’s lightweight and very compact. The platform of the Helo measures 26″ x 16″ and they were able to trim some of the weight by making the platform a bit thinner closer to the tree.
Despite its smaller platform, the seat is still a bit bigger at 14″ x 10″ from front to back. This treestand comes equipped with their seat and platform leveling systems, as well as their offset bracket. So no matter how crooked or angled the tree is, you can almost always adjust it to sit level.

Tethrd - Skeletor Sticks
The Skeletors are designed to be budget-friendly, but still include many of the features engineered into their One Stick. They are built with a folding dual step design that folds away from the tree and gives the hunter more room for their feet when climbing. The Skeletors attach to the tree with their patented DynaLite rope and tab.
It’s the most user-friendly, lightweight, simple, and fast connection method with no heavy buckles and no mechanical pieces. They are 20″ long and weigh 2 pounds with an 18″ step-to-step height.

Timber Ninja - C1 Carbon Stick / Carbon Lock-On Stand
C1 Carbon Stick – After 2 years of development, Timber Ninja finally brought their C1 Carbon sticks to market. They’re offered in 20 or 24 inch lengths, and have polymer versa buttons and steps to cut down on weight and noise. The 20″ sticks weigh 1.2lbs per stick, and the 24″ sticks are 1.4lbs each. Both sticks have the option of adding a retractable 12″ aider.

Carbon Lock-On Stand – Along with their Carbon sticks, they’ve developed the first-ever carbon fiber lock-on treestand. With exception to the points of contact on a tree, and the nuts and bolts, it’s entirely made of carbon fiber. It weighs just 6.5lbs, and has a 25″ x 17.5″ platform.

XOP - Ultra Series Single Step
XOP’s Ultra Series single step sticks feature increased Step Stride and stability in a lighter, more compact package. Equipped with their all-new slide lock technology, the Ultras stack both top over, and flush side to side. They’re 18″ in length, weigh 2lbs per stick, and have a 4″ profile.

Elevate Stand Co. - Element Ultra
The Element Ultra Hang On Stand weighs in at just 6.25lbs, and the platform measures 17″ wide by 23 3/4″ long. The seat is 10″ wide by 8″ long, and the stand is made of 6061-T6 Aluminum. The stand comes with a seat cushion and your choice of ratchet straps or cam buckles. Both the seat and platform are adjustable to remain flat when hunting on an angled tree.
