The Wisconsin Buck & Bear Club, a trophy recording organization has announced that the club will start to measure and record trophy entries for the North American Wolf.
With the recent creation of a wolf season in Wisconsin the Wisconsin Buck & Bear Club will measure and record entries with no minimum entry score into state records for a $10 entry fee, consistent with other trophy animals for the club.
In addition to wolves, the Wisconsin Buck & Bear Club will also begin to measure and record entries for North American Elk in Wisconsin and even added a category for animals harvested with a crossbow.
“We are also the first organization in North America that is measuring and recording wolves into records. We are literally writing the record books for years to come”, said Bucky Ihlenfeldt, State Chairman for the club.
In 1996 the State of Wisconsin passed Assembly Joint Resolution 19, recognizing the Wisconsin Buck & Bear Club as the state’s official big game records keepers.
The Wisconsin Buck & Bear Club is a group of volunteer individuals, organized for the purpose of collecting and maintaining records on trophy whitetail deer and black bear according to the Boone & Crockett scoring system.
