The annual ATA Show is without a doubt the most exciting bowhunting/archery show of the year and this year is no different. With so much to see and do, it would be impossible to cover it all within the first few hours. So, throughout the day I will be updating my blogs here on Bowhunting.com in order to give our readers a closer look at all of the new, innovative products for 2013. So, in order to get out the info as fast as I can (there is a lot to cover), I will shut up and share with you a little of what has caught my eye so far…….Here we go!!!!
Saving lives is what they do. And this year HSS is making it even easier than ever. Thanks to the new Elite Series Vest, which weighs a scant 3lbs, hunters are literally running out of excuses for not wearing a safety harness. The Elite combines all of the proven harness technology into an easy to wear, all-season vest. The new tether strap is also lighter and the vest comes in the attractive new Realtree Xtra camo pattern.

Given the outrageous success of last year’s KillZone Broadhead, it only made sense for NAP to expand the broadhead line for 2013. The new models include a 125-grain model (trophy tip or cut-on-contact), 100-grain 1 ½ inch KE head for low kinetic setups, a 2-inch crossbow version, and a 2 3/8 inch, 100 grain MAXX version. No matter which head you choose, the Killzone performs like no other head on the market and will definitely get the job done.

Two new products are coming out of Carbon Express this year. First is the Maxima Red arrow which is designed with stiffer ends in order to contain and control dynamic spine. This shifts things to the middle of the shaft, or the “Red Zone” as CX puts it. The specs on the Maxima Red are +/- 1 grain weight and +/- .0025 in spine consistency.

The second product is the new LaunchPad precision nocks. These nocks are unlike other lighted nocks on the market that simply focus on lighting properties. The folks at Carbon Express not only wanted a lighted nock that was bright, but also one that was accurate. LaunchPads are also lighter than most nocks on the market which means they won’t screw up your F.O.C.

Taking scent dispersal to the next level, Tink’s introduces the new Hot Shot system for delivering your favorite scent. Tink’s Hot Shot emits a super-fine mist that is said to drift farther and wider than other products for the ultimate in delivery and coverage. The silent tip also sprays continuously without “spitting”. The Hot Shot comes in a variety of scents which include the legendary #69 Doe-In Rut, Trophy Buck, Doe P, Power Moose, and even Glazed Donut (bears).

Tink’s is also introducing Salad Dressin. This product is a food/curiosity attractant that when sprayed on anything, will condition deer to revisit and eat the vegetation it is applied to.

The new Wildview IR cameras are going to be a huge hit. With a ZX7 processor that maximizes battery life and trigger speed, and a new smaller housing, this line of scouting cameras will make a great addition to your tool bag.

Look for the cool new Kwik Sling Bow Sling that maintaines its shape in order to allow the shooter the quickest possible access to the bow handle and the Nitro XL for increased bow speed and dampening properties.
