For the gear test, Outdoor Life evaluated six laser rangefinders and scored the performance of each device based on the following criteria: accuracy, clarity, edge clarity, speed, display, low light performance and ease of use. The G-Force DX received a four-star rating and was noted for its ranging speed and overall value for the price.
The G-Force DX also scored highly for its crisp perceived image and clear resolution in low-light scenarios. Testers commented on the G-Force DX’s abundant features, such as Angle Range Compensation (ARC™) technology, and the rangefinder’s ability to be mounted on a tripod for rock-steady, long-distance ranging.
Featuring a second generation E.S.P. (Extreme Speed Precision) processor, the G-Force DX combines range finding capabilities out to 1,300 yards with unprecedented precision and speed. The device offers ½-yard accuracy and 1/10 yard display precision from 5-125 yards and +/- one-yard accuracy beyond 125 yards.
Incorporating two patented Bushnell technologies – Vivid Display Technology (VDT™) and ARC – the G-Force DX provides unmatched ranging capabilities. The redesigned VDT features four brightness levels and a 15 percent brighter display while ARC technology accounts for terrain when calculating the distance to target, giving users precise shot angle information (from -90 to +90 degrees) and true horizontal distance in bow mode or precise holdover data (MOA, Mils or inches) in rifle mode.
Protected by a machined metal housing, durable rubber armor and patented RainGuard HD technology, the G-Force DX is ready for the toughest conditions. The G-Force DX has a built-in tripod mount and includes a neck strap, carrying case and CR123 battery.
The G-Force DX is available in gun metal grey and Realtree Xtra for minimum advertised prices (MAP) of $399.00 and $419.00, respectively.
