NASP Prepares for 10th Annual National Tournament

The largest archery tournament in the World returns to Louisville Kentucky’s Exposition Center. Beginning May 9th at 5:15pm the first of nearly 10,000 archers will take the range to begin the 10th annual NASP® National Tournament. In 2012 this event was certified by Guinness® World Records as the largest archery tournament in the World with 7,804 archers officially participating. This year 9,827 archers are registered. The doors will officially open at 4:00pm on Thursday May 9th for the first for two scheduled flights (5:15pm and 6:30pm). Friday; competitive flights will take place all day from 8:00am though 8:15pm. Saturday; flights will be from 8:00am through 4:30pm, followed by the scholarship shoot-off and then the awards ceremony will take place from 6:10pm – 7:30pm.

The participating 4th-12th grade student archers will travel to Louisville from 37 states including Alaska.

Several dozen exhibitors will display their archery, outdoor, and “kid’s stuff” throughout the event. Several interactive shooting exhibits will also be provided.

Many of these national archers will meet again at the 2013 NASP® World Tournament in St. Louis Missouri at the America Center and Edward Jones Dome on June 28 – 30, 2013. Joining them will be their NASP® peers from Canada, Africa, and New Zealand.
