One of the nation’s biggest and best bowfishing tournaments, the Muzzy Classic, was held this past weekend in Nashville, TN. The event was based out of the Nashville Bass Pro Shops store. 137 teams from across the country braved the high waters and really tough conditions to compete in this year’s event.
When the weigh-ins were completed and all the numbers were tallied up, Team Thrills & Kills Outdoors (Team TKO) were crowned the 2017 Muzzy Classic champions, earning them a check for $10,000. Team TKO consists of Tommy Woods, Hunter Woods, and Scott Baxter. And for this particular event, the team welcomed Jeff Neiball aboard the boat to round out the 4-man team.
This team is no stranger to the podium when it comes to bowfishing championships. They’ve won their share of Muzzy Classics, and were the 2016 champions of the Bass Pro U.S. Open.
The winning weight for Team TKO for this year’s Muzzy Classic was 484.4 lbs.
Team AMS wasn’t far behind with a weight of 475.5 lbs. to earn second place.
3rd Place went to Team Southern Style Bowfishing with a total of 448.1 lbs.
A big congrats to all the teams that competed in this year’s Muzzy Classic.
