Shortly after a morning hunt in Illinois, Bowhunt or Die staff member Franki Clark received a phone call from a farmer who happened upon a very unusual sight. While he was out checking on his cows he came across the young buck who apparently overestimated his fence jumping abilities. Unfortunately the deer landed directly on the fence post, severing his spinal cord and eventually killing him. When Franki came upon the deer he found that he had only been there for a short time, and after calling it in to the DNR, took the deer home and processed the venison.
