The first morning of the ATA show found us meeting with many of the friends we've made over the years, shooting new product video reviews, and checking out some of the new gear. We're taking a quick break to grab a bite to eat and them we'll be back at it!
Our first stop of the morning was to visit the folks at Pine Ridge Archery. Jim Broberg was kind enough to show us their new ground blind camera mount, and also the new and improved Pro-Bow-Cam tree arm. Both products are great for bowhunters who like to film their own hunts.
We also stopped by the Reconyx booth and got a sneak peak at their new Hyperfire trail cameras. With all the same features of the current Reconyx lineup packed into a smaller package that uses an SD card and AA batteries all for under $500 these little cameras are sure to be a hit this coming year.
NAP has a bunch of new products for this year as well. The ones I'm most impressed by are the 2 blade Bloodrunner with an impressive 2 1/16" cutting diameter, and the Apache drop-away arrow rest. Check out our other blog posts for more info on those products.
I did stop by the Bowtech booth where they are giving out FREE TATTOOS! That was quite a sight to see! I'll make sure to get some more photos when I go back to shoot the new Destroyer 350. For now I just stopped in to say hi to the guys over there including Rob, Greg, Matt, and my boy Frank the "eye candy" of the show!
Right before we left for lunch I met John Marshall from NuFletch, who showed me his innovative new product. It is a machined aluminum ferrule with grooves for a standard Blazer vane to fit into. Essentially you put an insert in the back of your arrow just as you would the front, then screw the NuFletch into the insert and go on your way. If you rip a vane or want to change colors, simply unscrew the back of the NuFletch, slide the old out, slide the new in, and go on your way. You do pick up about 50 grains when adding the NuFletch to your arrow, but that's not necessarily a bad thing for guys who like shooting a heavier arrow.
