Most fall-away rest rely on spring tension and gravity to enable the launcher to gradually fall away as the arrow is released. However, the launcher on the Whammy is instantly jerked away when the activation cord is snapped tight during the shot. This allows the Wahmmy's launcher to drop 5 times faster than a standard fall-away rest.
