Uno AppEarlier this year at Bowhunting.com, we let you know about an exciting new archery App that was being developed by Full Flight Technology called UNO. This new app promises to make sighting in your bow much easier and should help most anyone shoot more accurately. Unlike many techy gadgets, this app will be easy to use. You sight your bow in at once distance, punch the bow performance data from that shot into the app along with a couple of measurements off your peep sight. The app will display pin gaps for the rest of your pins from 20-80 yards. You just place the phone against the sight housing and align the pins with the crosshairs for each distance. It sounds pretty cool. According to Bob Donahoe, Founder of Full Flight Technology, the app will surely save people lots of time and frustration. “Let’s face it; sometimes sighting in a bow takes a long time. The longer it takes, the better chance there is that a mistake will be made in sighting in, which can result in a loss of downrange accuracy. With the UNO, sighting in a bow will take a fraction of the time it normally does and give archers an accurate set of pin gaps that they can rely on,” Donahoe said.

Donahoe describes himself as not only a bowhunting junky but an archery geek. So it is fitting that he is doing what many techy types do. He is using crowd funding to help launch the UNO iPhone app. “We are using Kickstarter to help us bring this app to market,” said Donahoe. “With Kickstarter, anyone who wants to pre-order the app can do so by pledging $10. When the app comes out, they will be the first to get it.”

Archers who are willing to spend a little more can get a lot more than just the UNO app. “People can give as little as a dollar to support the product, but those who spend more, get more,” Donahoe explained. “For instance, if a person pledges $70, he will receive the app and get to use the Velocitip bow tuning device.” For those who are unfamiliar with the Velocitip, it is an electronic field point that can be used to give you an endless amount of data about your bow setup including arrow drag, downrange kinetic energy and time of flight.

Testing the appThose interested in taking a greater interest in the launch can pledge $3,000 and receive private archery lessons with a Mathews Pro Shooter. Spend $5,000 and you get a fall and a spring guided turkey hunt.

Full Flight Technology will be the first company in the archery industry to use crowd funding to bring a product to market. “Many tech companies have used this platform with success,” said Donahoe. “We hope to do the same.”

Currently the campaign has raised over $11,000 and the goal is to reach $25,000 by July 24th.
