Mathews Pro Staffer, Bridger Deaton, recently won the coveted World Cup Final in the Men’s Compound event in Lausanne, Switzerland. Despite fierce competition from some of the best archers across the world, Deaton found himself on the winner’s podium in his rookie season on the World Cup tour. Deaton’s win secured the third consecutive World Cup title for the Mathews Pro Staff team. Braden Gellenthien won the World Cup in Tokyo in 2012 with his Mathews Conquest 4, Martin Damsbo locked in the 2013 World Cup in Paris with his Mathews Apex 8, and Deaton continued the streak this year with his Mathews Conquest 4.

“It was a surreal feeling up there,” says Deaton. “I’ve never felt so nervous, yet so in control. I felt extremely confident in my bow and knew that as long as I focused on my form, and remained as relaxed as possible, that my arrows would find the middle,” he added. “It felt amazing to get my first Pro Win at such a prestigious event and I am very thankful to God for giving me such amazing opportunities and success!”

Mathews continues to put the best bows in the hands of the best shooters in the world. A big congrats to Bridger Deaton on his win at this year’s World Cup!
