Travis Watson brought on as key hire at Robinson Outdoor Products

Cannon Falls, MN — November, 2013 —  Robinson Outdoor Products, LLC, creates and innovates products that redefine performance, bring value, and improve the quality of the Hunter’s outdoor experience with ScentBlocker®, TreeSpider® and Whitewater® brands. introduces new key hire. Travis Watson; Director of Product Development.

In making the announcement, Senior Vice President; Todd Leidall, said, “This hire brings a strong and successful retail background to bear for Robinson Outdoor Products as we diversify both the types of products we bring to market and the diversity of retail locations we are doing business in. We feel his experience and skill sets easily dovetail into our larger business strategies. Our history of creating innovative hunting products is attracting great people and I’m delighted to welcome our latest team member.”  

Most recently Travis was the Hunting, Outerwear, Work and Tactical apparel buyer for The Sportsman’s Guide and previous to that spent 11 years in various roles at Cabela’s the last being that of the men’s retail outerwear buyer. His long history of blending the disciplines of business management, product development, and retail to move existing business forward and/or develop new products was an imperative for Robinson Outdoor Products. His previous experience in the fabric and manufacturing industry specific to technical fabrics will also help bolster continued innovation in product development. “I am excited to be joining such a dynamic company and being part of the team that will take the brand to the next level,” said Watson. 

Not surprisingly, Travis is active in both hunting and fishing traditions, as are most of the Robinson Outdoor Products staff. This allows him to be actively involved with product use and developmental feedback.
