Tenzing TZ 4000
The new TZ 4000 pack from Tenzing adjusts from a small and tight daypack, to a midsize daypack, to a full-size daypack with a meat-hauling separate pocket. Whatever the configuration and load, the pack remains positioned tightly against your back.
The TZ 4000 aligns itself between Tenzing’s award-winning TZ 2220 daypack and the company’s carry-it-all TZ 5000 excursion pack. It weighs a mere 7 pounds, 6 ounces, yet offers a total capacity of 4,000 cubic inches. Its lightweight design and generous cargo capacity are made for hauling everything in for several days afield, and yet stands ready and capable of packing out big game.
The Tenzing TZ 4000 transforms itself through a series of zippers and wing pockets that can be zipped together, zipped to the outside of the face compartments, or zipped where they belong for full expansion. Like all Tenzing packs, the TZ 4000 features advanced strength panels reinforced with Dyneema, a light fiber that protects against rips, punctures and structural failures.
Two fluted internal aluminum frame stays provide lightweight, rigid structure for the pack’s compact vertical design. Its back pad is channeled for air-cooling flow, and lots of storage areas strategically organize contents. A unique boot also folds out to carry bow or gun hands-free.
