Dustin DeCroo
Born and raised in Wyoming, Dustin’s passion for the outdoors began at an early age hunting any species residing in the Western United States. Dustin Currently resides in Oklahoma and travels to Texas, Kansas and Western states annually to feed his bowhunting addition. His passion for bowhunting and finding the best gear was a no-brainer to why he is on our staff.
I booked my flight for the wrong day and had a couple hours of daylight to spare. I purchased a doe/fawn tag at 4:15 and by 5:30 I had stalked this antelope, made a 41 yard shot and was on the way home.
I purchased a left over doe mule deer tag in the fall of 2008. Northeast of Gillette, Wyoming I shot this doe at 55 yards after an extremely long and steep stalk.
This elk was called in to 7 yards with a $600 tag, I couldn’t let him walk. We ended up calling in 22 different bulls in a 9 day hunt. 10 minutes after I shot this spike and nice 5x5 stood broadside at 40 yards for over 5 minutes.
These birds were killed in West Texas from a Double Bull blind. Both shots were less than 20 yards on a travel route the birds use to get back to their nesting location.
1. Killed on the Trinity River in 2006 this pig was with several others sleeping on a creek bank in the shade. A short stalk provided a 35 yard shot.
These pigs were killed on the Trinity River of central Texas in 2006. Both pigs were stalked and killed at less than 15 yards. This was my first experience with Slick Trick broadheads.
This feral hog was killed during spring Turkey season in West Texas. I shot him at 12 yards with a Crimson Talon Cuda mechanical broadhead, he went about 65 yards before piling up.
I killed this buck on a 12-acre plot near Norman, Oklahoma. The buck was injured and after jumping a fence on 3 legs, he offered a 20 yard shot.
This buck was killed on November 7, 2007. On stand for 45 minutes and had a 140” typical 10 come in and never present a shot. He moved off following a doe and I rattled one time and this deer came charging through the thicket. He was shot at 14 yards and I was 6’ off the ground. He scored 146 6/8”.
This bird was called in and killed at 20 yards near Ratliff City, OK. Killed with a Hoyt Vectrix, Easton Axis arrow and an Eastman Silvertip broadhead.

This hog was killed near Canton, Oklahoma in 2004. He was shot with a 2003 Hoyt Razortec, Easton Axis arrow and an Eastman Silvertip Broadhead. He weighed 65lbs.
