He kinda fooled me a little. I saw the mass and 10 points at first light, and thought shooter. Now I wish I would have passed. Still not a bad buck.
Had a couple of friends out to hunt my place. Since the bucks weren't chasing the does yet we decided to do a little herd management. We took these 3 in the last hour of the hunt.
I took this nice MO doe from a ground blind hidden in the corn rows. The rage did it's job on the 12 yard shot. First deer of the 2008 season.
Opening Day '06 IL buck. I had let 3 smaller bucks pass already. This guy was big enough for my 1st opening day buck. Nobody else around, so I set the camera on a log and used the timer to take this pic.
I had a great day. Nov. 9, 1996, I shot the doe at 7:00 and stayed in my stand and this bruiser came by about 7:30 chasing 3 more does. I shot him with the last doe directly under my stand.
Late season buck. I got this guy on Jan. 2nd 2000 in St. Louis County, MO, don't ever give up. My best scoring buck, 165 gross and 155 net Typical.
My first buck with a bow. A 240# field dressed monster that came by chasing 3 does. I shot him on my wifes birthday Nov. 9 th 1996. I got the present that year. Grosses 160 inches. I had also shot a doe earlier that morning. I'll have to find a pic with both of them later.
Killed Nov 10th 2007, in Jersey County , IL
Came thru chasing 2 does right at last light. I had to wait till the next morning to find him. It was a long sleepless night. Scores 142 6/8
