Possible NEW World Record Buck taken with Bow in Wisconsin!

Very few can argue with the results from Wisconsin over the past 2 whitetail seasons. It seems nearly every week another possible GIANT buck is taken by gun or bow in this, the famed, dairy state. Below you will find what could honestly become the world's largest typical buck ever! No joke.

Could it be? A new world record whitetail buck!?

The above 240 pound, 12 point typical, is being called the new world record whitetail, replacing Milo Hanson's 1993 taking. Shot on November 5th, 2009, hunter, Michael Gregoire took this incredible buck while hunting his brothers farm near Sheboygan. The 4 1/2 year old buck is said to gross 217 5/8 by an official Boone and Crockett scorer. It is currently waiting the mandatory 60 day drying period before it's final score is tallied.

After the 60 day drying period is up, the Boone and Crockett club will randomly select a panel of judges for this buck's official scoring. All Michael can do now is await their verdict.

This whitetail buck needs to net the already famed Hanson trophy of 213 5/8, taken with rifle in the Saskatchewan province. The Wisconsin typical record is 206 1/8 inches.

Keep your eye on Bowhunting.Com. We will officially make the announcement as soon as we catch word on this possible new world record typical. Our congratulations to hunter, Michael Gregoire on this amazing buck.

I see way too many deductions to end up above 200" for a typical score on that buck. No way it's a new typical record.

I agree with John. Looks like quite a few deductions. I'll be surprised if it breaks the record.

Bunch of reports have popped up from various deer hunting experts claiming that this buck is NOT a world record....Deer & Deer Hunting, Big Buck Zone (Outdoor Life) and Buckmasters have all reported that this buck will not be a record....still a great buck tho. Here's a link to more info... http://tinyurl.com/yehuqg4

Holy cow you guys can't even get it right in the story you posted. Ontario is not the home of the Hanson buck, the king lives in saskatchewan. This newest challenger is not even close to a 200 inch typical. Plesse strip the scorer of all his priviledges. It took all of 30 seconds to realize that the scorer and all the papers printing this crap don't have a clue what tyey are talkind about. I always look forward to the next big hope out of the usa and the only way you will regain the world record is when the B C record books allow all your farmed deer that have been injected with steroids to be eligeble for entry. You will not produce a wild buck that will challenge the Hanson buck.

saskatchewan's still king |

Im not buying into the new world record hype either. But the pictures on here don't show just how much mass this deer actually has. Google Sheboygan falls buck and there are 21 more pictures that actually show the size of this buck.

wow!!!! what mass on that pig, i agree with the others....not gonna be a new world record.  hey sassy, i understand your jealsouly towards us, anybody can shoot a deer with a rifle, it takes a real person to get a giant like this buck with a bow!

This may not be the new world record, but as a resident and hunter of the area the Hanson buck was shot I really hope there is a new world record taken as far away from here as humanly possible. The whitetail buck population has suffered with way to many bucks shot and left because they looked good and had ground shrink. Too many deer killers are looking to cash in on the hanson buck progeny hoping he left offspring that will be bigger than the Father or grandfather

i know i run down all my local deer and pump them full of roids'. of course to have the speed and strength to do it i need to take roids myself. jeeze, that saskatchewan guy sounds like he's having a roid rage right now....record or no, still a nice buck, you could have at least agreed with that to some degree. cool down or i'll take away your hockey privileges.

I agree with everyone else who replied.  Giant buck, but no way close to beating the Hanson buck.  From what I can see, a 5X7 frame.  Kicker off it's Left brow.  Forked G2 on the right.  Not too typical.  Would be lucky to make the top 20 typicals in the state.

But Wow.. what an impressive buck.  The score won't do the deer justice.  Congrats to the lucky hunter!

Sorry, but I vote that this is not going to be a new world record.  After all the commotion that happened with the Zaft Buck, I don't believe that this buck will be any different.  Those points will be scored as abnormals, mark my words, and I say that this buck will end up with an official typical score in the high 170s to low 180s.  Then again, what do I know ...  just throwing my two cents into the ring.  I do hope the best for this hunter, though, and it would be great if it does end up being the new king of whitetails!
