The trade show season has officially kicked off and we’re coming to you live from the Mathews Retailer Show in the Wisconsin Dells.  There are a bunch of great new bowhunting products coming out for 2013 and we’ve been fortunate enough to get an exclusive first look at some of them.  Here’s a few highlights from the past two days.

Of course the main focus of this show – ogling over the new Mathews bows.

The new Monster Chill is probably my favorite bow for this year.  I believe I’ll have one on order before we leave tomorrow!

As always, Axiom archery has some great new accessories.  This particular one slides over the carbon fiber rod on your string dampener and includes a Mathews Harmonic Stabilizer.  It can be adjusted forward and back or side to side to achieve the perfect balance while helping to kill vibration.

Also new from Axiom are these limb shock dampeners that will fit not just the new Mathews quad limb bows, but just about any split limb bow on the market.

Blacks Creek has another great line of bow cases sporting your favorite Mathews bow logo.  These cases feature a lot of padding to keep your bow safe, and plenty of pockets to store all of your gear.

Also new from Blacks Creek is a 2000 cubic inch pack sports plenty of storage for all your gear, and a removable pack with a supporting harness underneath to carry anything from elk quarters to treestands.

Bohning has made several improvements to the Chameleon line of quivers for 2013 including more space between the hood and the top gripper to accomodate larger broadeads as well as a new lever-lock mounting system.

Carbon Express is now dipping their toes into the slim shaft arrow market with the PileDriver Ultra.  This thin diameter shaft sports the same heavy weight of the original PileDriver now in a thinner package for increased penetration.

Also new from Carbon Express is the Maxima Red arrow.  Improving on their popular dual spine weight forward technology, the Maxima Red is lighter and stiffer at both the front and the back, allowing the arrow to recover more quickly once leaving the bow which results in better down accuracy, especially with broadheads.

GameHide is releasing a great new jacket & pant combo for 2013 called the Solotech series.  The jacket will include a removable vest for added insulation when you need it, and sports padded elbows, shoulders and back to keep you comfortable while stalking or sitting in a stand.    The Solotech pants feature padded knees as well.

Hunter Safety System has several new harnesses on the market for 2013, including the new Lost Camo version which weighs in at just under 2 pounds thanks to the smaller waist strap and buckle, and thinner (yet equally as strong) tether.  This will be the #1 choice of harness for the Bowhunt or Die team in 2013.

Here you can see the new, thinner tether on the HSS harnesses.

The folks at K-Tech also have some great looking accessories including this stabilizer that has two polycarbonite rods that help dampen vibration.  It also accepts several K-tech accessories to help give your bow the best custom balance for your needs.

Lakewood has updated their popular bowfile bow case for 2013 by changing the interior from from wood to plastic, which makes this case both stronger and lighter.  As always, you can put your bow in the case with the quiver still on and also add both a an arrow case and accessory case as well.

Much to the dismay of my wife, I feel a bowhunter can never have too many hats.  As always, there’s a variety of new Mathews hats will will surely be occupying space in my closet, truck, desk and kitchen counter before long.

New Archery Products is now offering both their Apache stabilizer and Apache arrow rest in Lost Camo to match your Mathews bows.

NAP Apache rest in Lost Camo.

Pine Ridge Archery recently launched the new Sawtooth stabilizer, which comes in 8 color combinations, works great to dampen vibration, and is an absolute steal with an MSRP of $19.99.

One of my favorite new items at the show, the new Rinehart Zombie target adds a little extra fun to shooting for both kids and adults.  Zombine Apocolypse anyone?

The guys at Stic-N-Pic released a new screw-in trail camera mount that swivels in multiple directions, works with just about any trail camera, and is now available in Lost Camo to help keep your camera hidden from both game animals as well as potential thieves.

What trade show would be complete without visiting with a few good friends?  Here I am hanging out with Chris Watson and Rebecca Wolfe at the Watson Airlock booth.

The Watson Airlock Bottomless 26 features plenty of storage space for all of your hunting gear and of course my personal favorite feature, the changing mat which keeps my feet dry while putting on my hunting gear.  Love it!
