This past October I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel to Wyoming with my good friend Paul Mazur for a hunt with Scott and Angie Denny of Table Mountain Outfitters. On this particular hunt we would be going after trophy pronghorn as well as mule deer with our rifles.
Upon arrival at the airport we knew weren't in Chicago anymore when we saw a plane that had a photo of a mule deer on the tail. That's certainly something you won't see in Illinois anytime soon!
We arrived at the ranch that night and got to spend some time with both Scott and Angie and I have to say they are some of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. Having known Scott for several years and hunted with him before I was eager with anticipation to get out in the field the next day.
For those of you who have never been to Wyoming the scenery is amazing and the game animals are certainly abundant. We saw pronghorn, mule deer, and elk all within the first few hours of our day. Having hunted in places where I was lucky to see one deer in a week the sheer quantity and quality of game animals that I saw on Table Mountain's land was simply astounding.
Fortunately for both Paul and myself we were able to harvest quality animals early into our trip and return home for just in time for the Illinois rut to kick in. As usual "Horeshoe" Mazur shot a bigger buck than I did. Go figure!

A big thank you again goes out to Scott and Angie Denny with Table Mountain Outfitters for the great hunt. For anyone that is looking for a great hunt with a first class outfitter check out their website at http://www.tablemountainoutfitters.com/
